Growing up, money was the one topic we couldn't touch. In my Mexican-American household, talking about money meant arguments at the dinner table — so we just didn't.

No one taught me about insurance. No one explained how money worked. That silence followed me into adulthood.

Then I became a dad. I looked at my oldest and realized he was about to hit the age where he'd need everything I was never taught. At 37, I decided the cycle stopped with me.

I'm building Jumpstart to be the resource I never had — for first-gen families, working families, anyone who deserves to understand what protects them.
